1. Data Collection
The Accessibility Checker browser extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing information.
2. How the Extension Works
- All accessibility analysis is performed locally in your browser.
- No data is sent to external servers.
- No cookies are set.
- No tracking of any kind.
- Highlighting overlays are temporary and removed when you close the popup.
3. Permissions Explained
- activeTab: Required to analyze the current webpage when you click the extension icon.
- scripting: Required to analyze page content (images, headings, forms, links, colors) and highlight issues on the page.
4. External Links
When you click "Full Report", the extension opens audit.owshsystems.com/accessibility with your current page URL as a query parameter. This is the only external communication the extension performs.
5. Data Storage
This extension does not store any data locally or remotely. Each analysis is performed fresh when you click the extension icon.
