1. Data Collection
The Schema & Sitemap Checker browser extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing information to external servers.
2. How the Extension Works
- All schema (JSON-LD, Microdata) analysis is performed locally in your browser.
- Robots.txt and sitemap checks fetch publicly accessible files from the current domain.
- No personal data is sent to OWSH Systems servers.
- No cookies are set.
- No tracking of any kind.
3. Permissions Explained
- activeTab: Required to analyze the current webpage's schema markup when you click the extension icon.
- scripting: Required to extract JSON-LD and Microdata from the page, and to fetch robots.txt and sitemap.xml from the current domain using same-origin requests.
4. Network Requests
This extension makes the following network requests, all to the domain you are currently visiting:
/robots.txt- To check robots directives and sitemap references/sitemap.xml- To analyze sitemap structure/sitemap_index.xml- To check for sitemap indexes
No data is sent to OWSH Systems or any third-party servers.
5. External Links
When you click "Get Full Report", the extension opens audit.owshsystems.com with your current page URL as a query parameter. This is the only communication with OWSH Systems servers.
6. Data Storage
This extension does not store any data locally or remotely. Each analysis is performed fresh when you click the extension icon.
